Carlos serves as the President and CEO for Goodwill San Antonio where he is responsible for leading the non-profit agency in all operational and administrative areas to include the development of the organization’s vision and strategic plans.
Prior to joining Goodwill, Carlos served as the Assistant City Manager for the City of San Antonio where he was responsible for the city’s departments of aviation, convention and sports facilities, economic development, government and public affairs, and Pre-K4SA. Carlos also led government affairs efforts for the San Antonio division of nationwide homebuilder KB Home, and engaged in the practice of law for nearly 15 years, with legal concentration on administrative, legislative, and regulatory law, as well as corporate and general counseling.
Carlos holds juris doctor and master of public affairs degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, and an undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University.
As Chief Contract Services Officer, Mark is responsible for establishing the overall business services strategy as well as accelerating and broadening contract growth and job advancement opportunities. Mark's 20+ years of service with the agency and his deep experience building dynamic teams has grown Goodwill San Antonio’s Business Services into the third largest contract operation within the Goodwill Industries International network. Under Mark's leadership, Goodwill San Antonio's Business Services has doubled in size over the past decade; and more importantly, has helped create jobs for more than 700 employees, 75 percent of whom have a significant disability. Mark brings nearly two decades of experience and leadership to Goodwill following a 20-year career serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Christi serves as the CFO for Goodwill San Antonio where she is responsible for the financial management of the non-profit including financial planning, reporting, internal controls, and investment management.
Christi brings over 20 years of experience as a CFO and has worked for a major accounting firm, small and large corporations, and most recently, as a consultant to corporate and non-profit clients. In addition to her CPA, Christi earned a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Mary’s University.
Dave serves as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Development. He is responsible for driving Goodwill San Antonio’s growth and community impact by spearheading the development of strategic partnerships with key businesses throughout Goodwill’s 24- county service area.
Prior to joining Goodwill, Dave held leadership positions at the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce - Interim President and CEO and the Executive Vice President and COO. Dave served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Brigadier General in 2013.
As Chief Workforce Development Officer, Angelique leads the Goodwill San Antonio mission efforts to fight poverty and create opportunity by providing educational and career services to individuals and youth within the Agency's 24 county service area. Angelique previously served as the Director of Business Development and VP of Business Services before assuming the role of Chief Workforce Development Officer. She currently serves as a steering committee member for the San Antonio Digital Inclusion Alliance. Through all these positions, Angelique has been passionate about finding effective ways to collaborate with the community to improve individuals’ access to opportunity and continues to be dedicated to equipping our community with tools for economic mobility. Angelique holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from the Catholic University of Lille, France, and an MBA from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
In his role as the Vice President of Retail Store Operations, George is responsible for leading and managing all retail functions for the agency’s 22 stores. With extensive experience in multi-unit store management, big box retail, and the salvage liquidation market, George is tasked with developing a large, multi-level workforce and creating meaningful efficiency and process improvements in support of the agency’s mission. Prior to joining Goodwill San Antonio, George spent twelve years with Goodwill Industries of North Georgia progressing through store operations to serve as the Senior Director of Development responsible for donor acquisition, retail site development, facility maintenance and oversight of three ISO systems (9001, 14001, 18001). Most recently, George comes to Goodwill San Antonio after having served as the Vice President of Retail Operations for Goodwill in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
As the Vice President of Contract Services, William is actively involved in providing mentorship and support to Goodwill San Antonio’s current diversified business services and dedicated to seeking out new innovative lines of business to allow for the advancement opportunity and personal growth of Goodwill’s valued employees. William has over 20 years facilities management and maintenance experience, of which over 18 years working with AbilityOne Programs.
William holds various certifications including “Registered Building Service Manager” through Building Service Contractors Association International, “Certified Environmental Service Executive” through International Executive Housekeepers Association, “ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard Certification Expert” through International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), “Six Sigma Green Belt” through American Society for Quality.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Joseph leads Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Recognition, Compensation and Benefit essentials for the Agency. He began serving Goodwill San Antonio in 2017 as Senior Director of Human Resources. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the functions of Human Resources. Prior to joining Goodwill San Antonio, he served as Executive Director of Human Resources for Santikos Entertainment in San Antonio. Joseph is a Certified Professional (CP) in Human Resources, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
Julia serves as the Chief of Staff for Goodwill San Antonio. She is responsible for providing executive level support to the CEO to include public and local government relations, board of director recruitment and development, and strategic partner development and relations.
Julia has over 16 years of community, public, and senior level government relations experience. Prior to joining Goodwill, Julia oversaw local government relations for CPS Energy. She was responsible for executing governmental and external affairs efforts, fostering relationships with elected officials and other key stakeholders, and serving as a liaison on policy development projects.
Julia earned a master’s degree from the LBJ School of Public Policy at the University of Austin and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Diego State University.
In his role as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Jerry leads the Marketing & Communications team who is responsible for managing Goodwill’s brand reputation and expanding its mission awareness. He facilitates the strategic communications for the agency to include marketing, public relations, and community engagement. Jerry has over 20 years of experience working in public, non-profit, and for-profit sectors.
In her role as Compliance Officer, Debbie administers Goodwill San Antonio’s Compliance and Ethics Program. She is responsible for establishing standards and policies pertaining to regulatory requirements to help ensure legal, ethical, and proper conduct. Debbie ensures such standards are communicated and institutionalized across the agency, and monitors compliance of these standards and policies. Debbie served as Director of Performance Excellence for six years prior to assuming the role of Vice President of Compliance and Quality. Prior to joining Goodwill, she worked at Harland Clarke (previously Clarke American) for 15 years in a variety of quality roles in support of their Texas Award for Performance Excellence and Baldrige Performance Excellence recognition.
